Helen Klassen has written her first book, Stepping Out of My Darkness and Into His Light, which tells the story of the July 2012 accident that killed her daughter Charity Mariah, and how she was able to overcome that loss by relying on her faith.

Day Out with Thomas

Missing swimmer presumed drowned

Members of the Elgin County volunteer fire departments and Elgin-St. Thomas Medical Services were gathered on main beach in Port Stanley July 15 after performing several concentrated grid searches to aid in recovery efforts of an 18-year-old man who went missing the day before.

Not so scary after all

Local author Tim Fennema and illustrator Tabea Thornton (centre) share with Heather Robinson, public services librarian at the St. Thomas Public Library, a quick peak at their first novel, The Very Hairy But Not So Scary Mouse. Several copies of the book were donated to the library on July 15.
