Fire safety reminder

A recent house fire in St. Thomas was caused by an electric fireplace being plugged into an extension cord, something the device's manufacturer — and the fire code — specifically state should never be done.

St. Thomas police laid multiple charges after a loaded tow truck was spotted driving with no licence plates.
